Dancing in a shopping mall
When Joy (age 82, centre in pink sweater) signed up for an older dance class in January she never thought she would be dancing in a shopping mall.
But that is what we – members of the Keep Dancing group at the macrobert arts centre- did today in the Thistle centre, Stirling when we performed the Dance Pledge, a routine devised by Scottish Ballet .
We were helped in no small way by members of the Scottish Youth Dance group who gave a very lively performance and dragged us “oldies” along with them.
You too can learn the routine ready for the big day in May.
It’s been a hectic day for this was the annual macrobert dance celebration with performances taking place in the most unexpected of places throughout the city.
Tomorrow I hope to load some more photos but its late and I have only just got back home.
Here are some photos in blipfolio dance fromthe professional dancers . The Dutch men were amazing performing with street furniture- lamp post, phone boxes, windows, cashmachines.
