Eyed ladybird

Britain's largest ladybird landed on my jumper while I was sitting in the botanic gardens eating lunch earlier last week. Unfortunately for him I don't have Anatis ocellata in my collection...

He almost had the last laugh today however, when he pulled himself off the glue spot on the mounting card and nearly escaped. Luckily I captured a tidy picture of him before he tried to make a break for it, dragging yellow glue all over the card in the process.

Saw a goldcrest for the first time today, they're so tiny!
