Holiday
After a suitably lazy start for a holiday weekend, I made a banana and chocolate chip loaf to take to my sis's. Then C and I enjoyed bacon and fried egg sandwiches for brunch and mooched round John Lewis. I spent a long time looking at the compact system cameras and rather fancy the Sony Nex 6 and a few lenses to go with. I'm going to think on it as it's a big investment, which I'm not convinced I can afford. I then picked up a Pineapple peeler/corer/slicer from Lakeland (as highly recommended by a blipper - he'll know who he is). Unfortunately, I forgot to buy a pineapple...doh!
After a coffee and a chattete, we headed over to Boycott farm shop near Stowe for a look at the growing piglings, still suckling at long suffering mum. I bought some back bacon, Gloucester sausages and a pork tenderloin for the freezer. After tea and more chattete watching the free range chickens, we ended up at my sis's for yet more tea, chat, scotch eggs, fruit cake and banana loaf. Yum. Teddy entertained us all (see blip) and we had a relaxing afternoon.
Once home about 7pm, C and I had a couple of decent pizzas and salad in front of a French film about a vineyard. I even had a beer. It has felt like I'm on hols, which is a really nice feeling since I'm very much still at home ...
