May Queen

Having a gorgeous weekend in Dartmoor thanks to an invite by friends to a cottage with an indoor pool (really) near Lustleigh.

Kev and I walked through some idyllic woods down to the village for beer and came across this engraved rock with a stone throne on top.

This is where the Lustleigh May Queen is throned. There are about 40 names carved in to the rock.

Its all little bit Wickerman-esque but also quite lovely set in a woodland clearing by a stream.
