Sunday Morning!

Spotted this outside the old hospital on my walk to church this morning. A great selection of worship songs and hymns at the service, mixing the old with the new. They included Amazing Grace, Jesus What a Beautiful Name, Blessed Assurance and My Jesus, My Saviour...4 of my favourites!

The sermon was about happiness and joy. The quote that stuck with my as I strolled home was as follows:
Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet.

I like to think I try to live like that, by trying to appreciate and enjoy everything, even if it’s mundane and repetitive! By being mindful, by seeking joy in the plain and simple. By embracing little pleasures.

On that note, I am off to spend my afternoon painting my nails and reading my book with a warming cuppa, in a cosy cafe. Small pleasure? I think so!
