Mother's Day Lily

Exactly a week after Mothering Sunday, this is the first of the lilies to open, and it happened today. It was a gift sent from my partner Amanda's son and family a lovely mix of creamy white rose buds and lilies.
The first flower seemed to open very suddenly this morning, and it looked so fresh and beautiful, I had to point my lens at it, and here is the result, my Blip for today.
