Sheffield Half Marathon

The scene at the start of an eventful event. Waited patiently at the start for an hour and then got going. A PB of 1:53, which I was delighted with and Lorna did very well too. Only found out afterwards that the delay was due to a lack of water stops which meant the event had been cancelled and Police had initially attempted to put up road blocks to stop things continuing. National radio was claiming that chaos ensued when the 5,000 competitors refused to accept the decision and ran anyway. Wish I'd known I was being so rebellious!!
