wet day in bournemouth

This fritillaria meleagris was growing alongside the river Bourne flowing down through Bournemouth.

We started with breakfast in Costa and then headed off down to the beach. The rain was cold but the company good. At the beach, there were lots of windsurfers and kite surfers out. The sun was shining over old Harry - the rain moved off and we had a good meander around the town centre. The walk back to the flat was through the gardens along the river Bourne - lots of different plants along there.

It was a good weekend catching up - much more relaxed than the normal running around when I visit them in Bristol.
