And when I finally got round to thinking about it the light was all grey and flat. This is the snowy mespilus in our garden, it is looking gorgeous.

The first Sunday of the holidays is the best day of all. No work to do, and all the holidays ahead of us. I love it. We spent much of today in the garden, cutting back the huge bay tree and letting loads of light in. And using the new shredder, a satisfactorily destructive machine!!
