Hedgerow Blossom

I always feel so happy when the hedges spring to life with the blackthorn blossom (?) in April. The weather was unkind today so we had an unashamedly lazy relaxed day which included Sunday lunch at The Thimble in the Piddle Valley- it's a real pub with lots of atmosphere and there is a deep well into the river which can be seen in the bar. When the boys were younger we once spotted an eel swimming past in rhe River Piddle in the grounds. I nearly chose another photo of the greem fronds of weed in the river but this quickly taken shot will have to suffice!
