Back The Pub!
You could quite easily sit a home, read and have a drink - but nothing gets close the feeling you can have in the pub where, although you're indulging in a solitary pursuit, you can still feel that you're socialising with others.
And that's one of the reasons why it's important to Back The Pub.
And by pub I don't mean those big "drinking rooms" covered with this year's dictated interior décor (usually a confusion of retro 60's wallpaper, 70's modern plastic and 80's reclaimed railway sleepers with a one of Karl Lagerfeld's bad-dreams thrown-in for good measure... )
No, I mean community pubs where you can nod (or even, god-forbid speak) to your neighbours and not-so-neighbours.
A far better place for young people to learn about alcohol too.
Did I mention the mini-cheddars???
