Mairie , St Aubin sur Mer , Normandy , France

Had a relaxing day exploring this pretty town after our day of travelling yesterday. We passed the Mairie on the way to the beach and I just thought it was such a beautiful building.

We spent a few hours exploring Juno Beach , one of the beaches of the Normandy landings. It was amazing to think about what happened on that beach. We tried to explain the history to the kids but apart from my son getting excited about an old German anti tank gun they were more interested in exploring the rock pools and asking for ice creams.
