What makes a garden...

and why do gardens grow?

That's a four line poem on a cushion given to me by a friend a couple of years ago.

Right now I suppose what's making the garden grow is all this damned rain! April showers and all that. Don't be fooled by the green of the grass. A significant percentage of it is moss :-(

You can see my new greenhouse - I've never had a proper one before. I spent a couple of rainy hours in there today. I've been sowing seeds - sweet peas, French beans, tomatoes, tomatillos, chard, courgettes, sweet peppers, celeriac - I'm nothing if not ambitious.
