Albion Falls - The Unintended Close-Up

I went on a hike with my daughter R today as we both really needed some sunshine and it was a beautiful day. We had not intended to leave the beaten path, but a group ahead of us appeared to be on a side trail along the Red Hill Creek and we figured it must be a reasonable way to go. We did not know that they were mountain lions/serious climbers and got ourselves in a bit of a pickle until we realized we needed to slide down and wade across to be able to get to where other people were.

I don't think she'll let me take her hiking again any time soon!

It was a bonding experience and we saw some impressive scenery.
