Butler river

The Buller River goes over a steep rapid and through a narrow channel carved in the beautiful pink granite. Later met some lads in a small car with six kayaks on top of the roof all side by side. They protruded out each side. They were flying into the upper reaches of various rivers then kayaking down. Doing some fairly extreme stuff I suspect, as the mountains here drop rapidly down to the sea.
