Common Frog - Rana temporaria

Moving the recovery phase on I ventured out round the village for my first dog walk in over three weeks today - further than I've been so far & touch wood (reaches up & touches own head) - no drama's.
We saw our first two frogs of the year - this chap doing significantly better than the first who appeared to have drowned, surely a rare death for an amphibian. Oddly the pooch, who will happily kill all that moves before her, has never been bothered by our hopping friends - perhaps they don't give off a foodie scent. For his part* Mr Frog was happy to sit on this little wall at the edge of the stream whilst I snapped away.
