They're behind you!

It's that time of year - the girls have arrived for their annual few weeks in the rich pastures next to us. Jenny takes the lead as they walk the mile and a half from their farm, and her husband Kevin takes the rear in his landrover. They are beeped all the way. The sheepdog rides in the car - this time accompanied by a bold lamb who tried to go back to his original field!

A break in proceedings this afternoon and I had the unexpected delight of being shown around the wonderful gardens of Carraigh Abhainn by Eugene himself. I was looking for some pix for the book and cheekily asked if I could have a look round - the gardens are open to the public in the summer, and got the guided tour. It's right on the river with all sorts of interesting nooks and crannies , seats and sculptures.
And the first swallow has been spotted!
