Wind whipped waves

Busy day today so no time for a photowalk. Instead, when I dropped my friend Barb off at her house, I walked into her back yard and snapped this picture of Lake Erie. The wind has been pretty fierce here the past few days. Although it has settled down somewhat, it still packs a pretty good punch. Tree branches broken off; trash cans rolling in the street instead of standing sedately on the curb; power lines down in some neighborhoods, but not ours thankfully; and temps way below freezing with wind chills down to zero and below (that's Fahrenheit). But no snow...nothing more than the light coating you can see under this tree that stands like a sentinel on the cliff above the lake. And I'm not complaining!

Strange happenings...Overnight on December 9th (I think it was), I lost three subscribers. Then I was reading another blipper's journal, and she mentioned the same thing happening to her. Coincidence? Or something else?
