Anne Frank
I am doing my best imitation of the Anne Frank statue here :)
Got to visit the 'huis' of the famous victim of the Holocaust, Anne Frank. It was an eerie feeling to step into the very rooms that the Frank family used as a hideout when the Nazis occupied Netherlands. Photos that Anne posted on her room wall were still preserved and placed on glass cases. She posted a lot of girls in pretty dresses and with nice hair dos and i saw a photo of Einstein too. She must have dreamed of being a scientist or is fond of the sciences.
Before visiting Anne Frank's huis, we did a 1 hour canal cruise along the waterways of Amsterdam. I believe one of the paths that we took is along Prinsengracht and we definitely cruised past the back of the Amsterdam Central train station. I just knew from the commentary during the cruise that Amsterdam is mostly from reclaimed land.
Today was quite a relaxing day as Tere and I had a nice coffee by the shop near the waterway along Prinsengracht before meeting up with Vladimer at his office. He is a researcher at the Univ of Amsterdam :)
