New Road

Took a trip back to the open cast today. Was met by both the site foreman and the security guard. Both wanted to know what I was doing (on the public highway). Well to be honest I thought that having a D300S in my hand may have been a bit of a giveaway but then who am I to judge.

Anyway I was quite surprise to find that the main road has been re aligned again. And a very good job of it they have done. Lovely shiny new tarmac and white lines. Apparently this is the last time it will move and it will follow this course after the opencast is finished.

Pity the road up to this point is falling apart though.
