Soul Mates

I took a ride by the pond I have visited for the last 4 years to see if the Great Blue Heron and the Osprey were back.
Sure enough they were there, perched on their favorite trees! These two heron were very affectionate with each other, like true soul mates!
The only problem is the pond is still frozen, just as the last heron I captured, on a different pond! I really hope the mild temps this week will melt all the ice!
