Wet Hover Fly

These hover flies are different from most insects. They don't mind the rain (see the raindrop on its back). When the rest are sheltering in cracks or under leaves the hover flies sit in the open. They don't need sunshine to show up the colourful sheen on their wings either.

It was wet all day, but one thing was different. While the last several days have been wet and warm today was wet and cold.

I carried my two tubs of dwarf beans into the greenhouse. They have flowers and tiny beans on. Time will tell if I get anything off them.

I began my 365 Day Book today. I have a feeling it's going to take me a long while to complete it.
