Amsterdam Bicycles!

To bring the story up to date: I'm posting the next morning after a long and tiring Monday. We rose at 4:30 am to catch a train to Amsterdam from the Gare du Nord. Arrived a bit late, but got our room immediately in a lovely small hotel across from the Stedelijk Museum, which we visited in the afternoon. We're here for the week.

This was a shot late in the day, of a mother and child leaving the school which is right next door. The children play in the street repeatedly; it's a pedestrian zone. This was not the only bicycle contraption of this sort which I say
