Rain clouds were chasing us

After spending yesterday mostly indoors, the children were keen to let off a bit of steam today via a run about on the beach.

It had rained just before we got there, but the rain had cleared and there was some sun peaking through the clouds. We hadn't walked very far before we saw big black rain clouds approaching from behind us, yet ahead it was still sunny.

The black clouds behind us made the sea look a much darker blue.

Eventually the light rain caught us up, and we took shelter by some beach huts - well, I took shelter, the kids were happy splashing in the sandy puddles.
