Iced Cactus

This is a Christmas Cactus flower I froze last Autumn in several layers of cooled boiled water (boiled as I was told that would reduce the air bubbles in the ice). I forgot all about it until today. I lit the ice from underneath, but I am not sure I am happy with the resulting image. This is partly because in the middle of taking the shots the 'phone rang with one of those annoying randomized calls from a company wanting to talk to me about air conditioning (???). I told the person to go away, but they rang back again twice in quick succession. In the meantime, the ice had fallen on the floor twice (very slippery) and I was getting a bit irritated to say the least!
