Guard on the NYMR!

Train leaving Pickering station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. This really was a quicktake. This is the guard with a 'Dick Strawbridge' moustache. The girl was a pictorial bonus. I'm trying to interpret the guards handsignal. What it says to me is, if you want to take my photograph, be prepared to pay. Does this mean I owe him a pint in the local?
