Watercolor sky
A flying trip to Yachats with Sue, one night there. At dusk the overcast sky performed a subtle but intense light show, a strip of white light just at the horizon, eighteen shades of gray and then, unexpectedly, a pink glow that arose and faded in the space of one deep breath in and not quite out.
I had time to catch up with posting a set of Newport shots here, including some cliffs with unexpected shades of mauve and ochre, some surprisingly beautiful shapes in basalt, and a couple of portraits of my two traveling buddies; and a very few more Yachats shots here.
Maybe over the next few days I'll have more regular internet access. I'm still reading and loving The Glass Castle, Jeannette Walls' very loving and often hilarious rendition of a childhood that was like mine in many ways. She tells her story from a place of compassion, affection, and generosity.
