Closed to new members

These gates used to guard the entrance to the BBC Sports Ground in Motspur Park. It used to be beautifully kept, manicured cricket pitch, tennis courts, lovely clubhouse, the whole deal. Then it was sold in a round of Corporation short-sighted cost-cutting. For a while it was a private residents' club, but that was years ago now. The gates are locked and rotting. The grounds are over-grown. The club house has been vandalised (you can see it all from the train line that runs behind the playing fields). There was a time when it was planned to be a new cemetery - but now it just lies empty, rotting away. Rather sad, really.
