Irish State Visit

Today was not only an important date in the Windsor calendar, but also for the whole country, with the Queen welcoming the Irish President on his first ever state visit. A day of reconciliation between the two neighbours who share the British Isles.

For this state visit I waited at a different vantage point on the castle perimeter. I'm not sure it's any better, but you do get two bites at the cherry, seeing the Queen on the way down and on the way back with her newly-arrived guests.
