Had I spotted this before another lunchtime spoke-replacement I probably wouldn't have bothered. Whilst in some ways highly irritating it's good to finally hear the death knell of this make-do pile-of-shite rear wheel, albeit after replacing at least twenty of its thirty-two spokes at some point. I loosened this one off as much as possible and balanced the surrounding ones enough to eke this out for long enough to get home. Had I been more organised this morning I'd have dumped the hub and rim of the incipient replacement off at the bike shop on the way in, but did at least get round to cutting off the last few bent and mangled spokes last night, ready to take it in tomorrow.
