Beer tasting

A has run Twickenham street-o tonight which normally I'd also run but not taking any chances with the marathon so not running. So I've arranged a blind beer tasting of thornbridge Kipling, my TJ's SPA and my KPA. An interesting tasting as the Kipling is intensely hoppy on the nose and very bitter. The TJs is also hoppy and bitter but side by side it makes it seem almost sweet. But then the Kipling is pretty extreme.. Once the Kipling is gone the TJs seems bitter but balanced.

For added brewing fun I pruned the hops today and kept the hop shoots which pan fried in a bit of butter are very tasty.
