Steeples
Denzille Lane again (where I blipped the line-painters). There's a big development/refurbishment going on in a block of old council flats there. This wouldn't have worked without the dramatic sky, but sky-dramas are ubiquitous this June/July.
A little later, driving home with the wife and wean, I saw THIS SEASCAPE
from the Sandymount coast road. Here, when the tide goes out it goes OUT, clearing one of those places where Dublin Bay's aperture opens into broad bands of grey, green, blue, gold etc.: a glimpse of what 'Big Sky' country might look like, a breeding place for what what the poet Michael Foley called "the forty shades of grey."
