Making the Best of It

I heard this morning a tale of unspeakable animal cruelty. Try as I might to leave it behind, I couldn't shake the ugliness of what I heard.

Whenever I hear such stories, I wonder if what I do with our three animals balances out things in the world.

The other consideration I had today was a quote I saw earlier. It said, "Many eyes go through the meadow, but few see the flowers in it." - Ralph Waldo Emerson -

So today, in walking Kirby at the dog park, we saw the flowers.
