Small House in Farnham, Surrey
A great example of early 19th century house in Farnham.
Farnham is stuffed with history, and worth a day trip. It was 'Ferneham' in the Domesday Book in 1086. King Stephen's brother built a castle here to stay in overnight on trips between London and Winchester.
One of the people who lived in the castle was Henry Beaufort, who presided over the trial of Joan of Arc when England owned France.
In the early 1700s, the biggest corn market outside London was held here. Big things for a little town.
