St.Kilda Beach

A public holiday here in NZ - Waitangi Day. Had our coffee in the car watching many intrepid folk walking their dogs, surfing and enjoying the lovely weather. Noticed a splash out on the surf line that was not usual and finally worked out there was a seal playing in the waves.
It had a grand time checking out a couple of the surfers - much to their consternation - and rolling around in the surf before deciding to take a break on the beach.
It did not take long for these people to take a closer look which did not seem to bother the seal at all. From my vantage point I would say it was a young juvenile full of happy curiosity.
