A Tidy Desk ... and all that
Unusual photo today, but then again it's been an unusual day. I work as an adviser for those who work amongst children & families & a friend in a similar role in another region has been told, repeatedly, that due to health and safety regulations she is required to have a clear desk at all times. The words "disciplinary" and "we will purge your desk" have been muted. So a few of us took photos of our work environment & sent them off.
Here's mine, at the moment, after a bit of embarrassed tidying before the photo was taken.
I've also uploaded a few pics of Paul Smith's working environment to my Blipfolio. I thought they were really interesting.
Latest research from Germany shows that children who are encouraged to be static on chairs show less inclination for learning than those who move around in their seat, prompting new designs of seat for children to aid learning. If only we were as creative in our own work environment.
