pretend play in the park

We took a lovely afternoon trip to our local country park today. The actual swing part of it is out of action as its being upgraded but theres still lots to do.

First we had a picnic in a flower garden and then Erin put her scooter to action. I took Caleb in his trike. We went over the bridge where you could see all the old trains, Caleb loved this think he could of stayed there all day!

Next the babies spent what seemed like forever climbing up and down a bank???! It was just a bank of tall dry grads but they ran up and down and across for ages, easily pleased.

Off to the sensory gardens next for some musical play. And suddenly the heavens opened!!! It came from no where and wow it came down thankful Erin needed the loo so we headed for cover and it only lasted minutes.

To Finnish the afternoon we took a walk around the woodland walk. Babies loved discovering all the different carved animals. They did some lovely pretend play in the huts. Wow I'm glad it wasn't real tea is be full :)
