Fenland waterway

This is one of the waterways that you do not want to slide into off an icy road in winter. This is a not infrequent occurrence as not many of the roads are not salted and some take sharp right angle turns at field boundaries. It is best to have a hammer in the car as electric windows and door locking can fail in water. Not that I want to be alarmist you understand! The river is the Glen which is navigable at this point.

In other news, we had an offer on a house accepted into which we may eventually downsize but at the moment we will probably renew the rental agreement with the current tenants. Packing is underway and the long journey will soon begin.
