Preening

This stork is sitting on her nest high up on a communications mast in the middle of Tavira. I'm not sure if the locals added the nest sized perch especially for the stork population - other nests are sitting on top of old chimney stacks - but the flat metal grill near the top of the mast is perfect. Every so often the male bird appears and they talk to each other sounding rather like noisy woodpeckers.
