Creeping Slowly Over

In the grounds of Culzean Castle this amazing tree, which we counted was over seventy year old, had obviously been trying to escape over the top of the very high wall for most of its life! Both the coping stone plus the brickwork under it were definitely being pulled by the tree in its strange attempt to grow in this unconventional way :-/


All parts visible are from the same tree I promise, I'd loved to have seen it with branches attached, I wonder how many years ago they were chopped off?


Have joined the Nat Trust Scotland today so will be visiting as many properties as we can, both here and the rest of the UK, which is all included in the membership :-)
