To Make a Viking Cross

We had another day walking.

There is a magnificent collection of Viking and Celtic crosses on display at Maughold Parish Church.

This particular stone caught my eye.

On the one side that you see it contains an intricate design with magnificent workmanship.

However only half the cross is present. The other half is missing.

It had been found during the demolition of a building in Ramsey where the stone had been used to form a lintol in the building.
