Searching out some colour

A really grey wintry day today and the only colour in the village seemed to be these persimmons on the almost bare branches of their tree. The trunk at the side, confusingly, is a palm, the persimmon is behind it.

It's a day to stay indoors, keep warm and eat stew for lunch, so I will!
