Lantern

A few years ago, I bought two lampshades for our hall from a local stained glass specialist.

Since starting to blip (it's funny how you notice things more!), I've been looking at the light and shadow patterns they cast on the walls and ceiling and thinking they've got potential for a photo.

I tried a variety of shots, and I liked this one because, although the "steps" aren't quite even, it makes me think of a spiral staircase winding upwards :)
