Jackdaw-dler
It's been a bit hectic lately, hence the late upload, but all is well.
As is often the case when standing at the sink practising ones expert washing up skills, your mind starts to wander & any number of random/ interesting thoughts & ponderances occur to occupy & confuse you as you blindly rummage around, under the bubbles, in search of that razor sharp blade you cut tomatoes with the night before. Well that was me anyway! And thankfully, there were no accidents.
Whilst all this is going on main stage, I look up out of the window & catch sight of the jackdaws landing & sitting still on the chimneys & aerials above & around the flat. That is when suds fly & I am racing for my camera. Needles to say, this moody shot is the fruits of my labour. I think I will continue to watch the birds & see if I can catch any other antics up high. They must be looking after their young, hidden away in the chimney, as they seem to do it every year.
In other news, Heskeys Tekkers played their final game of the season against Hardly Athletic. We lost 5-1 sadly, but fought hard & really made a game of it. Unfortunately, low on numbers, we tired in the second half & it just wasn't to be. We finished our first season 7th (out of 8), on 5 points (W:2, D:1, L:11). Not bad for a first attempt. Well done lads!
We now have our summer break, & then in 2 weeks time, the new season begins! Our target: a top 6 finish!
