Cyclists
In New Zealand, and I suspect other countries, there is considerable debate and tension around cyclists vs motorists.
It’s fair to say that in general motorists complain about congestion. And it’s true that every person on a bike, or on public transport, relieves that congestion.
As a motorist and a cyclist, I think motorists in general, are unbelievably inconsiderate and righteous.
In my opinion, people need to slow down, take a deep breath and think about what’s important. Being a few minutes late to your destination isn’t a big deal, And in fact, if you got on a bike, it could even be faster!
If I had been one of these kids, the Toyota Rav driver would have had a very big dent in the vehicle.
It was 3pm and school was out. Kids lives, let alone adults, are at risk every day on a bike. And getting in a car isn't the solution ...
