Pirates of the Caribbean Disneybound

This was my outfit of the day today. I used my replica pirate medallion from the movie as my starting point and inspiration and then went for slouchy jeans (too cold for actual shorts!) with a low slung belt, pale striped shirt with sleeves rolled up, back and white striped satin top and a green scraggy scarf. I also did beach waved hair and bought some little skull earrings to top it all off. When I left the house I teamed it all with my brown leather jacket and changed my pin to one of Will and Elizabeth from Pirates.
Pretty pleased with how it turned out, I think it will look better in summer with cut off denim jeans and perhaps a plain white shirt.
As it was my day off I had a bit of a lie-in before getting up and eating breakfast of a golden hot cross bun with yellow sultanas and butter, yummy!
As usual I browsed Pinterest for Disneybound ideas and almost decided to dress as Bambi today, one for another time!
In the afternoon I posted Jeff and Helen's parcel with Jeff's belated birthday present and headed into town.
After buying my skull earrings I went into work for 4pm to meet Ali for dinner. I found both Ali and Ciara in the stockroom and we had a chat and slouch on the very broken stockroom floor before we headed to get ready to go.
Ali convinced me to go with her to get our eyebrows threaded, something that has eluded me so far, that as I was quite scared I had to go first so I wouldn't chicken out. Unhelpfully, when we got to Body Shop there was a woman getting her moustache area threaded which looked very painful!
Anyway I hopped into the chair and it was an odd experience, it smarted a lot after it was done, and there was an impossible amount of hair that she pulled out, but she did a good job of shaping them, although apparently my eyebrows are really short!
We paid and now I have a loyalty card too, not sure how I feel about going back, but to make us feel better we also got a pot of strawberry body butter to try.
We then wandered round the shops for a while before going to Harry's for a quick drink and then on to Wagamama.
For once we both decided to try something new, Ali had a raisukaree which was a coconut and lime based curry sauce with chicken and rice and chillies which she ate all of, and I had the kakuni and pumpkin donburi which was brown rice in a ginormous bowl with pulled pork, pumpkin and asparagus. It also came with a miso soup which I hated but Ali quite liked as long as she didn't eat the tofu, which we discovered made her pull the most awful face of disgust!
After we ate I walked Ali home and headed home myself, I bought a little lemon cheesecake pot to eat on the way, it has nothing on actual cheesecake from Cheese Cake!
Today I am grateful for the chance to try new food and flavours.
