Modern Art
Another foggy day, I headed into town to try and get a nice atmospheric shot of the castle but they didn't come very well, the haar that had covered most of the city the last couple days was beginning to clear and the photos just out dull instead of interesting.
This is a photo of the hand that is one of three pieces that make up "The Manuscript of Monte Casino" (the other two pieces are a foot and a "section of limb"), personally I don't "get it", but I'm not a fan of "modern art" I think this looks incomplete, if your going to make a hand make a hand, not bits of a hand with strange blocks cut into it, and what's with those grasshopper things? It looks like one grasshopper is trying to mate with some mutant grasshopper with a ducks bill! Not that I wish to detract from the artist he was highly regarded and received a CBE and was knighted with a KBE in 1988, you can read more the artist who was born in Leith in 1924 on Wikipedia Sir Eduardo Luigi Paolozzi, he donated a lot of his work which can be seen at Dean Gallery in Edinburgh .
