Oystercatchers

Although I do fairly regular blips of birds in our garden it’s a while since I posted any sea birds so I took my 200m lens with a 1.4 converter with me when I took the dogs out this afternoon to see what I could capture on the beach. Initially I saw a juvenile curlew, a bird which always excites me but unfortunately by the time I had my camera set up on my monopod it had disappeared. A little further along the beach there were oystercatcher feeding in the river meanders and I took a number of shots. I’ve chosen a group of them rather than an isolated bird as I felt they made a more interesting image.

Probably worth viewing LARGE
