Star Light

Last days of teaching before Easter break for me today. Nice day and I was even given a Kinder Egg by a student :)

I tried to blip the toy from it (these little odd spinning tops) but it didn't work out. While experimenting, I tried to do some stuff with the flash which helped but still didn't quite get the effect I wanted.

It did give me an idea to use a 'star' filter I have and face the camera straight into the flash. That didn't work either :( So I eventually settled with switching to the built in LED on the flashgun (for video filming). Hooray! Not quite the picture I would have liked but still pretty cool I guess.

Also, after originally posting, I've just discovered this is my 100th blip! A star now seems unexpectedly appropriate.
