Paolozzi mosaic

A regular trip through Tottenham Court Road tube station. The Eduardo Paolozzi mosaics now look a bit overwhelmed by ongoing Crossrail works....

When I first moved to London, this tube station was upgraded but it took ages (I recall visitors asking if the station was called Higgs & Hill, as the contractor's hoardings dominated the station both above and below ground). The mosaics reflect the local area, which includes 'Tin Pan Alley', the music streets of central London.
